A new exhibition looks at the very early history of the Bexley Collection from the 1920s and 30s. This early museum was located at Danson House and is a fascinating part of the borough’s social history. Reports by the first Curator W.A Carter give a personal insight into this amazing collection.
Exhibits show a range of the first objects collected in Bexley. Including the weird and the wonderful! A stuffed alligator, a 250 million year old fossil, arms and armour and a whale jawbone are all on display. This is an exhibition with something for everyone.
